A Case of Focal Nodular Hyperplasia of the liver

Abstract

|
|
Focal nodular hyperplasia is a benign epithelial tumor of the liver, occuring on noncirrhotic liver. It occurs usually in productive age women, but it is not associated with oral contraceptive use. We should differentiate it from hepatocellular
adenoma
or hepatocellular carcinoma, histologically. Focal nodualr hyperplasia had not been reported in Korea. We experienced a case of focal nodular hyperplasia without liver cirrhosis of 23 years old woman, and it was confirmed by operation and
histologic
examination, (Korean J Gastroonteral 1994 ; 26 : 1034-1040).
